With Apple’s highly awaited media event just around the corner, it is a natural thing to anticipate and speculate what the Cupertinos have in store for us. A redesigned iPod Nano is one of the expected announcements that will be made by Steve Jobs. The claims of a redesigned iPod Nano have just gotten stronger thanks to X-Doria case images revealed by iLounge.

As you can tell from the image, the 6th Generation iPod Nano will get a major shift in its form factor. The clickable track wheel is gone and a square shaped iPod Nano is on the cards with tiny touch-screen as your new medium of interaction. Mystery remains over the presence of a rectangular hole on the rear of the Nano 6G case. There is no telling if it is used as a clip place holder or is it there to accommodate something new.
