This is shocking. What happens to the expensive Invisibleshield or Bodyguard (etc.) that I may have added to my iPad? Does Apple replace that too? And what about privacy? Apple gets all of my contact information, etc. that is stored on my iPad. Is there any guarantee that it will be wiped clean before it is refurbished and sent to another user? And what if I take very good care of my iPad but the replacement unit has scrapes and scratches? Of what if mine has scratches, does that mean I cannot get my battery replaced? Lots of unanswered questions for a potentially expensive piece of mobile equipment.

These are very good questions. We'll have to find out more once the iPad is released or ''if'' anything does happen, that an iPad battery needs replacing.
