Happy iPad Day, Canada!

The day has finally come when people in Canada, and around the world, can purchase an iPad. I’ve been reading many great stories in the web today, of all the excitement. Some big line ups at Apple Stores around the country, with some stores selling out of iPads and accessories.

Something that wasn’t widely published, is what 3rd part retailers we’re going to carry the iPad. Well, it looks like just about any where you can buy Apple products, they have the iPad today. In Canada, you can find an iPad at London Drugs, Future Shop, and Best Buy, just to name the big retailers. Some of these had short line ups, but others with long lines were giving out vouchers, so they wouldn’t have people waiting in line all day, only to find out there was none left.

The folks who pre-ordered their iPads, must be glad they didn’t have to wait in line, right?….What’s that?…FedEx delayed your shipment?!! That’s right, we’ve heard some instances where FedEx just can’t keep up with the overwhelming demand of the iPad, and some shipments are being delayed to tomorrow, or even Monday. Ouch!

So, far the reception of the iPad is incredible, and I can’t wait to hear Apple’s numbers of units sold, over the weekend.
