iPad Tear Down!

Months before Apple would have liked this to happen, it happened. The FCC has made public photos of a torn apart iPad. Apple had asked the FCC to keep this private, until August this year, but it seems that request was denied!

These are popping up all over the net right now, but iFixit seems to have the most thorough walkthrough of all the stuff inside.

In this shot we see why this thing has 10 hours of battery life. Two batteries equalling more than half the size of the iPad!

This seems to be the back of the LED backlit display:

And this last one is a little more interesting. Here, we can see the Apple A4 chip, but we also see the memory has been supplied by Toshiba, and the Broadcom BCM5973.
