Product Review: M-Edge Trip Jacket iPad Case

With the launch of the iPad, comes a whole new market for cases, skins, and accessories. I’m one of those people who easily gets bored of a case or skin, so I’m always on the look out for something new.

A company called M-Edge is relatively new, but has been making cases for ebook readers for a while now. They have cases for Kindle, Nook, Sony Reader, and also, the iPad. They kindly gave us a “Trip Jacket” for iPad, to try out.

M-Edge’s Trip Jacket for iPad is an awesome case. When I purchased my iPad, I bought the stock Apple case at the same time, and although it is okay, it only really protects from scratches and dings. The Trip Jacket has a canvas and leather outside, with padding on the front and back, making your iPad feel more protected, without feeling too thick. The inside has a nice micro-fibre lining, that almost feels like suede, and further protects your iPad from scratches, and has leather anchors to keep the iPad in place. It has a cool elastic loop, that keeps the lid closed, or open.

There are also elastic straps on the inside, and when the case is open, this strap acts as hand strap for one hand, while you use the touch screen with the other hand. There are also small elastic straps on the inside of the spine, giving you a place to store your earphones.

Overall, I love this case, and I have not gone back to my Apple iPad case. It is great for using your iPad around the house, or taking it on the go. It really feels like you;re carrying a book around with you. It will fit any model iPad.

I definitely recommend this case. You can get it now at the M-Edge online store for $39.99 US, or they have many other iPad cases to choose from.
