App Review: GoalBook

We have seen many “to do list” type apps, over the last couple of years. Some really great, and some not so great. Typically, if an app has a simple user interface, and is easy to use, it usually falls under the “great” category.

Developer Adaptable Code sent us a preview of their newest app, that is out in the App Store today! It is called GoalBook. This is not just a traditional “to-do” app, but is more engaging and fun to use. You create a list of goals for yourself, rather than just things to do. You can assign pictures and a location to your goal, and you can even share your goals with the integrated Twitter feature.

Here’s what this app is all about, in the words of the developer:

The first application that eats and breathes goals! Keep track of your goals in a stunning and fun experience, you will be amazed about the goals being shared.

A bucket list, things to do/want before you die, different names for the same thing, keeping Goals! Goalbook doesn’t emphasize on the need to achieve goals. No, you don’t need to do anything, you can decide at ease, what you want to do with your goals.

You can see GoalBook in action here:

Personally, I don’t have much use for this app, but I can see how a goal oriented individual could really benefit from this. I really liked the way you can cross goals off your list , as you complete them, but you still see them on the list. It is a great reminder how much you have accomplished. You can also turn on Badges, so that you know how many goals you have left to accomplish on your home screen, at a glimpse. If you have ever set goals for yourself, and forgot about them, or plain just couldn’t see them to fruition, this could be what you’ve been looking for.

Look for GoalBook for iPhone and iPod Touch, in the App Store now! To celebrate the launch, GoalBook will be 50% off, at $.99! Go get it, while you can!
