App Store Reaches The Impressive 250,000 Apps Milestone

Apple’s highly successful App Store has reached a new milestone as it is now a home to more than 250,000 iOS apps that’s quarter of a million and in other words an impressive achievement.

Accordng to 148Apps.biz, the Cupertino’s revenue generating engine reached the landmark this past Friday. The count includes iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad specific apps with more than 50,000 publishers, 50,304 to be exact playing their valuable part.

For you history loving fans, the whole App Store concept started back in 2008 upon the launch of iPhone 3G with iOS 2.0 being the firmware in action at that time. With this time frame in mind it is pretty clear that the App Store is growing rapidly just the way Apple would have wanted it to grow which leads me to this question – when will it reach the 300,000 mark?
