Create Ringtones Feature Removed From iTunes 10

We all know what iTunes 10 brought, besides a new logo it brought a new face to the iTunes 10, a social face I must add which goes by the name Ping and other features. News update for you – the ability to create ringtones is found missing in iTunes 9 successor.

In previous versions of iTunes, you had the option by the name Ringtones which allowed the user to create a ring tone out of a track purchased for $.99. In iTunes 10, the option is no where to be seen in the View options window. I am clueless as to why the Cupertinos have choosen to leave this option out. May be it was because it wasn’t getting them the kind of amount they expected it to return.

Maybe because they can easily be created for free? Just adjust the length of any song to 30 seconds. Create an AAC version. Rename the extension of the AAC version to m4r. Delete from iTunes. Re-import to iTunes.
