Germany Getting Two New iPhone Carriers At The Expense of Deutsche Telekom

While the US based iPhone nation still awaits the pleasure filled news of AT&T losing exclusivity, it seems Germany’s Deutsche Telekom may beat Apple’s favorite son in the lose exclusivity race.

According to WSJ, Deutsche Telekom is likely to lose its lucrative iPhone exclusivity and make way for two new carriers in Vodafone and O2.Folks familiar with the matter have disclosed that the talks with the specified carriers are nearing a meaningful end.

Here’s something interesting to add to the story – Deutsche Telekom’s exclusive rights are yet to be renewed and are to expire in October. If the exclusive carrier becomes non exclusive, it may hurt the operator badly since they have outperformed their rivals mainly due to their exclusive rights on the iPhone.
