iPhone OS 4.0 Announced! Sneak Peak This Thursday!

Apple has announced the much rumoured iPhone OS 4.0, for iPhone and iPod Touch. They have scheduled a media event for this Thursday, April 8th, and have sent out invites to select media groups.

Among other rumours, iPhone OS 4.0 is expected to bring multitasking to the iPhone and iPod Touch. What is not certain, is if this update will be for the iPad, as well. Typically, Apple has released updates that support all of the touch devices, but previous speculation suggested that we may not see the iPad and iPhone using the same version of firmware until this fall.

The event is being held at Apple headquarters, in Cupertino. We’ll be following this closely, and will report back with all the juicy details!
