iPhone Reception Issues iOS 4 Related?
Oh man, when I starting hearing about this story, I was thinking I don’t mind waiting for iPhone 4 to come to Canada, hoping they would have gotten rid of all the faulty units.
In case you haven’t been following this, we’ve seen some reports and videos of iPhone 4 completely losing reception, all the way to “No Service”, if you held the device in your left hand. It was thought that when your hand touched both antennas, you somehow shorted out your reception.
Well, now it seems that this issue is not limited to iPhone 4. We have seen other reports that the same thing is happening on the iPhone 3G and 3GS. So, is this some kind of glitch in iOS 4?
What the hell is going on? How could Apple let this slip by them? And what kind of software bug could cause your iPhone to lose reception when you pick it up? We’ll pass on the answers if we get them.
