Yellow iPhone 4 Screen Will Fix Itself?
Yesterday, we mentioned there were some folks who got the iPhone 4 early, and were reporting that the retina display had yellow blotches. This is definitely scary, to have a brand new item seemed flawed in the worst way.
Today we get an indirect explaination from Apple. A reader at Gizmodo posted this:
I too have the yellow discoloration on the bottom of my new iPhone 4 screen.
I called Apple and they guy told me that it is residue from the manufacturing process and that they rushed the shipments out to hit deadline. He also told me that its just because the residue is not dry fully yet and it should clear up within a couple of days.
Let’s hope this is the case. I guess we’ll see over the next fews days.
