Apple Prepping 11.6 Inch MacBook

The king of rumors Digitimes is up to it’s speculating ways again. This time the rumor suggests Apple prepping a 11.6 Macbook which it will ship before the end of 2010.

What makes DigiTimes say so? Quanta Computers, Apple’s preferred notebook manufacturer has received orders from the Cupertionos to produce around 400,000  – 500,000 units of MacBook Air before the 2010 ends. Even though we have no rumored leak date, if I am Apple I would make every effort to launch the light weighted notebook in time for the holiday season.

Quanta has reportedly landed orders for 11.6-inch MacBooks from Apple. Shipments of 11.6-inch MacBooks are expected to top 400,000-500,000 units in 2010.

Even though Apple considers it’s MacBook Air as a notebook, if the rumors prove to be true, then wouldn’t it be conflicting with netbook class of products.?
