iTunes Countdown To 10 billion Song Downloads
Apple posted a counter today, for the countdown to 10 billion song downloads on their iTunes Store and home page. The winner receives a $10,000 iTunes gift card. Apple previous held contests for their One Billion App downloads. Further details, click HERE
Timing. The Promotion shall begin on February 11, 2010 and ends with the downloading of the 10 billionth song (“Promotion Period”). For purposes of the Promotion, the downloading of the 10 billionth song is considered to be either the downloading of the 10 billionth song from iTunes or the receipt of the first eligible non-purchase entry after the download of the 9,999,999,999th song, whichever comes first (the receipt of which will be made public when the counter on Apple.com stops). Only entries submitted within this time period will be accepted and it will not be possible to enter the Promotion through any means after this time. Sponsor’s computer is the official time keeping device for this promotion.
How to Enter. There are two ways to enter the Promotion:
- You will automatically be entered into the Promotion by downloading a song from the iTunes Store.
- Non-purchase method: Go to http://www.apple.com/ca/itunes/itunes/10-billion-song-countdown/entryform/, fully complete an online entry, including your name, complete mailing address (P.O. Boxes not acceptable), telephone number, and birth date. Once your online entry is complete, hit the “Submit” button to submit an entry. Entry via this method constitutes one (1) entry into the Promotion.
